Bronagh’s Bio
Hi, I’m Bronagh, the proud owner and professional groomer behind Canalside Canines. Dog grooming is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl and I officially began my grooming career in early 2022 with an apprenticeship before qualifying as a certified dog groomer.
I’m confident working with dogs of all shapes and sizes, but I do have a soft spot for terriers. Their character and coats make them a real joy to groom (even the cheeky ones!). I’ve been showing Old English Sheepdogs since I was a child, including at Crufts and that experience has given me a deep appreciation for grooming to breed standards with care and precision.
As a dog owner myself to two rescue dogs, I understand the importance of trust, especially with nervous or anxious pups. Every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their personality and make sure they feel safe and at ease during their groom.
Whether you’re looking for a full breed standard groom or a gentle tidy-up for your best friend, I look forward to welcoming you and your dog to Canalside Canines.

Hi, I’m Ciara! Proud owner of Canalside Canines and lifelong dog lover with a passion for caring for animals.
What began as a childhood love for dogs has grown into a passionate and rewarding career path. I previously ran a dog walking business and also worked at a veterinary clinic, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. This has given me a deep understanding of canine behaviour and needs.
I’m currently pregnant with my second child and plan to use my maternity leave to take the next step in my career: training to become a professional dog groomer. I’m excited to combine my experience and passion to offer loving, reliable services for dogs and their owners here at Canalside Canines.
